About Me

After many years practicing in the Kansas City area, my primary practice is now based in Lebanon, Missouri, while I continue to offer part-time psychotherapy services in the Liberty/Kansas City area. I value staying connected to both communities and the clients I have served over the years.

Outside of my practice, I live with my husband and our dog, Tito. I am also an open-nest parent to three adult children, a season of life that continues to deepen my appreciation for transition, resilience, and the ways our identities and relationships continue to evolve over time.

My practice is devoted to adults who function well in the world yet privately carry the effects of trauma, grief, or longstanding emotional strain. I specialize in integrative trauma therapy, combining Somatic Experiencing®, EMDR, and depth-oriented psychotherapy to support healing at both the psychological and nervous system level. Many clients seek this work after realizing that insight alone is not enough — they are ready for therapy that creates genuine internal change.

I maintain a limited caseload to offer highly personalized, unhurried care. Therapy here is collaborative, confidential, and intentionally paced, providing space for meaningful repair, reconnection, and lasting transformation.

Choosing a therapist is a personal decision. If you are seeking thoughtful, depth-oriented care and feel a sense of resonance here, I invite you to reach out for a consultation. Laurie@tglcounseling.com
